It'south very sorry that she has to larn and feel love, acceptance, care and confidence through other people and not from her family unit. She had to live the lives of other people in order to know she'due south deserving of love and care. That'southward actually sad and nonetheless it could be true. And that'due south what I appreciate about this middle grade novel because it'southward bold and honest and not afraid to address the truth about uncaring and atrocious families. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers inspiring Frannie of cocky-dear.

This book was pure anaesthesia. It was kind of like a cookie, you accept a bite and and so you just tin't finish eating it. I have never been so addicted to a volume than I was to Bounce. I devoured about 100 pages each day.

Bounce was a mix of creativity, wonder, comedy, and the dearest of family. Frannie is a spunky, positive, and fun twelve yr onetime in seventh grade. She feels similar her family doesn't appreciate her, and when her parents denote a Christmas trip to Hawaii, she is and then disappointed and aroused. She has to stay home with her brother that barely speaks, and her sister that seemed to hate her. The outset nighttime home alone, Christmas Eve, Frannie flops down onto her bed in frustration and discovers a different earth.

She wakes up in the body of a girl named Dakota with an amazing family and a puppy and a Christmas tree with gifts stuffed under it. She has horses and lives in a cute, cozy log cabin. Frannie has to overcome the fear of riding a horse, and ends up loving the experience. Next, that nighttime, she finds herself in the trunk of her sister Carmen's favorite singer whose name is Jasmine. She has to overcome the glory and fame and stage fright, and learn how to sing on stage and do an interview. Simply they come up merely as hands as riding a hose. She has a good friend too that is always there for her and is very kind. Next she finds herself in the body of a daughter named Blue who is on a ship with her family and she meets a cute boy. Afterward all of those bounces, she finally finds herself in uncomftorable atmospheric condition. First, she is in the body of a girl named Gracie who has to overcome the death of her sister on Christmas Day! She feels very distressing and close to her family fifty-fifty though she has never met that sister. Adjacent she is in the trunk of a girl she saw getting bullied on the bus, named Josie. This part of the book had the most meaning to me and went into my heart. Josie and her female parent, Jess, were looking for jobs and living at a inexpensive, run down motel called Flamingo motel. Josie had lots of scrapes and scabs and dingy hair. They had to get food from the garbage. When looking for a job opportunity they plant FRANNIES HOUSE! Frannie was then happy to see her brother and sis again. Apparently the other Frannie was in her room at the moment. Josie was offered food and a shower and wearing apparel, and she took them all. Carmen was being and so generous and I was so amazed by how someone so mean could get then thoughtful and kind. After this terminal bounce, Frannie was back in her ain body, with souvenirs from her bounce journey. She had discovered what family unit meant, even if hers wasn't the best always. But she had to admit, her family had changed too. Even Carmen said she was acting more spunky. She was more shut to her family. She even became best friends with Josie, and afterward Frannies brother offered them money, they could movement into a community eye/apartment that was much nicer. This story was and then beautiful.

This was probably one of my favorite books ever. I first came across this book online and brutal in dear with the sample. Then I cried considering I couldn't even stop it at the bookstore. When I finally bought it I wanted to cry once more only with happiness. This book drew me in more than almost any book. I'm sorry to people reading this if the plot doesent seem to brand any sense, merely it will if you read it. ;) This book was and then amazing. Information technology sucked me in! I would reccomend this to everyone everywhere and especially tweens and teens. This book changed my life and is one of those books that will stay with me forever. Non many books can do that, merely this did. Thank you so much for writing Bounce, it changed my life!

Quick synopsis: a twelve-year-old girl has a home life that makes her experience anxious and worthless--constantly yelled at and in the fashion. She wishes to exist part of another family unit, and goes to sleep. For the side by side five days, every mean solar day she wakes up as a new twelve or thirteen-year-old girl, having to live that one day (each time it'south Christmas Mean solar day), as that girl. She experiences a wide variety of situations and people, and she picks upwards familial dear and lessons along the way. Then, then sweet. Makes me want to be a better mom...more gentle, more caring, better listening.

The other nighttime I had a horrible dream where Alex (now 10 years former) got in an accident and ended up mentally handicapped and physically incapacitated. In the dream I just sobbed and sobbed. Simply for and so many people, that is their reality. I am very enlightened that we are all, and our kids, just one accident--one day-- away from debilitating disease, handicaps, and death. Each mean solar day we get to spend together as an imperfect family unit, being "normal"--doing homework, making dinner, checking on the garden, showering, napping, nursing...library books and pilus elastics strewn effectually the firm, is an unspeakable gift.

I am filled with gratitude.

Bounciness was terrific, I call back information technology would make a fantastic book club book for 5th grade or potent fourth course readers. Lots of appeal to kids who like Pack of Dorks, and like realistic fiction. I loved the fact that it was not a school setting, that seems to be a turnoff for a lot of kids. They want to read about things that are different from their every day experiences, yet that they can relate to. This volume will leave readers satisfied, and maybe finding a flake more than empathy for others.
